A Quick Visit

Postby Johnpike » Sat Apr 04, 2015 9:14 pm

Hi All,
We had a quick visit to Cann Lane today while on our way home from Wood Bev after blanking at the venue. We had a quick walk round the Pool armed with a rod, net & a couple of slices of bread each. I caught a small roach on bread flake & my wife caught a nice Mirror Carp on bread flake but she lost the fish in a snag as we were about to net it  Nice little pool think we will try there again soon! :D

Also noticed at Cann Lane there are a lot of Badger set holes around the Banks of Pool so watch your step you don't fall down any of them lol. :P

Had my first Carp of the Season today & my first from Cann Lane.
Took this 11lb Mirror on light float tackle today took 20mins to land the carp as gave a great fight as it tried diving for cover in the bankside snags. Great fun and a lovely Mirrior in perfect condition regards John

25/3/16 Cann Lane

Postby Johnpike » Sat Mar 26, 2016 12:14 pm

We Fished Cann Lane today for a couple of hours. The carp at the pool were showing but not interested in any baits just taking flies from the surface. We did manage to get some small roach from the pool on punched bread & flake bread. A new gate has been fitted at the farm entrance also. And I have been told by Peter it will be open between 7am-7pm for access to the pool.

This is not the resolution that we will be pushing for but that will be the worst scenario, I for one will not be very happy if that turns out to be the case.

One problem will be, if we are given the code, communicating it to the members as printing is finished with banknotes and many members have already renewed.

Good idea, and I will put this option forward, only downside is that it would need changing yearly but that's not a great problem.
