Following on from the announcement of the keepnet ban,it is important that ALL members make certain that any fish care items of tackle(landing nets, unhooking mats and weigh slings etc) are totally dry before using at any of our venues(or any others for that matter)
Please do you bit to help reduce the spread of this disease.
Regards Peter.

Re: River Avon Agg Match

Postby honsec » Mon Oct 17, 2016 1:10 pm

The latest round of the Saturday aggregate series took place on a very low and clear river Avon at Abbotts Salford, to make matters worse the sun was in full view for most of the match.

Of the 15 anglers fishing only 8 weighed in. Top weight of the day went to Bob Evans with 4-6-0 from the first peg in the first meadow and was made up of one bream and a few gugdeon, In second place with a bag of small fish was Barry Fisher with 1-15-8, Matt Lloyd managed 0-8-8 for third place and Match Manager Paul Gartshore had 0-4-0 for forth place. Mike Wakeman had one 3oz perch for 5th, 6th was Len Perrin with 0-2-8 and 0-2-0 was enough for 7th for Don Perks, Roger Burton had 0-1-0 (mostly bits) for 8th. Yours truly alternated stick and waggler for a whole 5 hours without a bite.

As 3/4 of the earth is water and only 1/4 is land we should all spend 3 times as much time fishing as we do gardening :-)
