First visit.

Joined this year and as this pool is just up the road from me thought it would be the first of the club waters I would try.
I am not disappointed the walk wasn't that bad not when you finally get there and greeted by the nice surrounding plus I had a decent day fishing so that made up for the hill.

Had some nice common and mirror carp and two tench one Bream.

Just like to know what's the biggest weight in there.

Can't wait to try the other waters and get on the river when they open.

Hi Rob,

Skilts is a beautiful venue once you get to it. The walk up to the lake should be made easier soon as we are currently working on the track and a small car park closer to the lake, although this will be for blue badge holders only, but you will still be able to drive up and drop your gear off.

As far as I am aware the carp go to low to mid doubles.

Walk didn't bother me need to loose some weight anyway. Just track a bit bumpy for my trolley but that's easily upgraded and a good excuse for new gear.

Nice to see a new member who not only joins the forum but takes the time to post.
If Skilts is close, then you must be close to Alvechurch, another nice venue but predominantly carp and a few "silvers" but no hills and the first pool is within spitting distance of the carpark, the other pool is a very short walk.
All the other pools are worth a visit, but Abbots Salford can be very tricky, get it right and 100lb of bream can be caught but a blank is far more likely.
No one should ever blank at Bradley green and 100lb of carp is not unusual in the right conditions and again access is very easy.
Enjoy your fishing and keep posting how you get on.

Thank you Peter.
Skilts is probably a 30min walk from my house.

Looking forward to trying the other venues.
If I do blank it's still a day away from it all in my eyes but always a bonus if I catch.

I like quiet venues that don't get busy.

In that case you will like them all, considering the number of members we often find ourselves asking the question,Where"s everybody else?

I was thinking it would be skilts that would be the quiet venue due to the walk.

I really don't mind having the place to myself :D
