Best session yet at Alvechurch1

Postby Ian Kings » Sun Jun 13, 2010 5:16 am

Had my fourth session since joining ABAC this year at Alvechurch pool 1 on Saturday 12th June, fished 12:30 to 19:00.

I won't bore you all with the details, but suffice to say It was bloody brilliant! :D

OK, I will bore you.........

I had a mix of 6 common and mirrors averaging the 9/10lb mark and one ugly looking common around the 5lb mark that had a badly deformed mouth and was thin looking because of it.

I also had a mix of Gudgeon, Roach, Skimmers and Perch in between the larger fish.

All fish were caught on single white maggot to Drennan silverfish maggot hook size 18, 2.5lb Maxima hook length to 4lb Daiwa Sensor mainline using a 3AAA waggler to hold position due to wind. This was fished 3-4 inches over depth during the session using a No6 shot pinned to the bottom on the hook length.

Out of interest, has anyone caught the Tench there?

Next stop the Avon June 16th \:D/

Ian
