Oh what fine weather we had for this match! Fortunately, for my personal comfort, I drew a peg that was protected from the wind. Unfortunately, that meant a harder day chasing the carp.
In a nutshell it was nice to be fishing a match again and while I did not have a great result it was good to put a few fish in the onion bag. I did waste too long fishing the island chasing bigger fish - had 4 off of it including one lump. In hindsight, I should have gone down the edge on the pole an hour earlier, as I caught fairly well in patches. Oh well, there's always next time!

From a quick glance at the weigh sheet, there were at least 3 weights in the 40lbs, all next to one another at the far end. I dont know if anyone beat that. There was a 30lb+ next to me, I had 20lb and a few ounces and the other side of me had 15lb. I think everyone had a few, but the drop in temperature didn't help.
