Had a walk round last weekend, looks ok the water level is up as expected a few dead ducks lying around they must have hit some ? The rope is still attached to the tree and the island.
But yes looking forward to starting especially as it's been quite mild look forward to seeing a few faces.

What exactly were they using the rope for just out of interest?

Only reason we can think of is to force the ducks to fly when scaring them.

They (there is a rope each side) should be gone by the weekend.

Nick Rhodes an I did Monday night, obviously not casting out until midnight  that windy was savage. The bivvi stayed put thankfully but the pod got wiped out 3 times. First fish at 2am second fish at 9am. Sad to say though that Nick had to bail out early afternoon and the wind got colder so I bottled it and packed up too.
