I went down there last Wednesday with some Cucumber sticks,
Spring onions - sliced of course and some Hoisin sauce. Sadly they were still swimming!!

As far as I know 2nd Feb is the first day we can fish.

Been there lately? It's been very low, was filling back up last time I was down there.

Its cool either way , just wondered why we had 2 different dates.

Ive not been down at all tbh , i really thought the levels would of been back up by now with the wet spell we have had of late. Still plenty of time for it to fill up nicely before we can wet a line

Whoever has repaired the track has done a good job, filled in all the deep ruts can't think ? How they got that bad. Still they will probably be knackered by FEB . Also nice sign did we do it or was it ' duck boys ' . Still only two months to go, I wonder if it will fish well ? . Had to do a bit on the BAA as I got withdrawal symptoms I'm lost without blanking.
All the best lads.

Yes the track is spot on.
They put up the sign at our request(saved me a job).
Its been a very mild winter so far and the lake would have probably seen more anglers this year than for some years(typical).
Where did you go Dave Coppice? and did you do any good.
Looking forward to the Spring, cant wait to get back on there. 8)

Hi Pete, yes had a walk around the lake last Friday just to check its all ok as I live nearby, first time since my last o/n on Aug 30th. About Coppice first time back on there after the fish losses a few years ago. Only took a ticket again this year must have had a premanition ? I've done three nights the fish seem to be fighting harder and are in better nic mostly commons but have put on a bit of wheight from a few years ago. Had two good fish both commons one at 22lb 14oz and one at 25lb 4oz best fish I've had off there.

That's good to hear Dave, most reports I hear seem to be fish up to high doubles and as you say most seem to be commons so a couple of 20s is a fair result.
See you in the Spring no doubt. 8)
