Popped down last week,not fishing ,not a soul on the pool or river,
having said that had a Sunday on Swan pool tiddler bashing and that was the same? 8)

Hi there not managed bout but big bream each session at ASL do the carp there even know what a boilie is I have seen them literally swim over baited areas not even tempted to sniff them, heard on the grapevine it's hard going of late how have you managed this year

I think I may have done alright, but have no idea how others have done so I haven't got anything to measure my results by. But i was told it is a difficult water so I am happy with what I banked.
Intersting point about bolies not even getting looked at,,,, all my fish have been had on bouyant luncheon meat. The dutch stuff is the best as it literally floats!!! :twisted: Only down side to it is the Tench like it as well but having said that I have had a hat full of good uns so mustn't complain. :o

I cant help you with the lake, but the river had been fishing reasonably well. Although sometimes I do think I have it to myself - in fact the only company I have had on the river all this season, has been my son! The river is not an easy stretch, but plenty of fish coming out to those who put the effort in.

Sounds good to me I'll have to try it very challenging water my friends have been blanking lots on it I really want to catch just a carp to rub salt in the wounds lol maybe we could meet up for a session on the lake

Have a word with Pete or Dave, the bailiffs. They fish the lake a lot. I'm sure they would be happy to meet up on the bank for a chat and a brew.

I stick to the river.
