Gate

Postby philly789 » Thu Sep 04, 2014 5:46 pm

Evenin all.
Have been findin the gate unlocked quite often.[closed and chain wrapped around]
Also wide open.
Now I know when its wide open that it's probably the farmer. But when the chains wrapped around and the locks not closed, not so sure!
Maybe someone's not got the jist of how to lock a padlock!

Philly.

Hi Phil,
I have just come off this morning and both gates were wide open the farmer was on last night till about 20.00 hrs and they have been doing a lot on the fields and hedges so maybe it's them, not sure don't think it should be a problem with the new lock this year.
But your right gates should be always locked on entry exit.

It's when the gates shut and the chains wrapped around and the locks not closed with the code left in that I'm on about.
Like I said When it's wide open it must be the farmer.
I always close the gate if I find it open.

Best advice is lock it every time,if it is the farmer its only a few seconds for him to open it again.
Yes Phil, gate closed and lock undone is more concerning but could be totally innocent.
Good to see a few concerned members posting on here.
Regards Peter.
