What the !!!!!!! This picture makes my blood boil. I now challenge the committee to provide a reasonable answer as to why I can't fish that peg and why a match angler can.

I do not believe this picture. Perhaps the committee could provide a reasonable answer.

Doug,

Unfortunately the majority of committee members who use this forum agree with us.

I think the only way to get heard will be at a committee meeting.

Having looked again at the picture I presume it was during the weekend contest, more on the bus mate? Takes me back to BAA bad 70s. However observation he was fishing past the sign so carp boys or girls can do the same from now on a peg has been set. Happy Days.

It was taken, not by me, on Saturday during the match.

I wasn't there and do not know, but will ask the question at the next committee meeting, assuming Peter (ASL bailiff) doesnt beat me to it.

After a somewhat heated discussion at the committee meeting last night I am very pleased to inform all members that common sense prevailed and it was agreed that this should now be a designated peg and the sign will be moved to the right of the bush, the remainder of this bank to the end of the lake is not to be fished.
Can I ask all anglers who do fish this peg to bear in mind that if anyone fishes the opposite bank your cast should be limited to half way across maximum.
If this is not adhered to the peg will be excluded again but Im certain all the guys Ive spoken to are sensible and courteous enough for the problem not to arise.
Don't forget over 60s match on Thrs this week.
Regards Peter.
