I went for a few hours in the evening this week (Tues) - my first visit. Started on the Home pool at the furthest end as there where a few lads along the dam end who were being a bit noisey. Had been fishing for about 20 mins, some nice fish moving about including a large koi, had a couple of unconnecting takes on floating crust. The bailiff only turns up and tells me that the concrete "pontoon" I was fishing on wasn't an official peg - That would explain the abundance of fish then!
Eventually found myself another quiet corner on another pool, and had a few small doubles (11, 12 & 14lbs).
OK place, but a bit too clinical and well groomed for my liking. Gates were also locked at 8pm which seems a bit early for me, especially when fishing after 4pm still costs £5.
