I didn't mind the hill, walked a lot further when in Studley club!, so glad I joined this club, only ever been a river man, but these variety of pools and fish are awesome. That was you too there then, I was on the other side fishing the island, few big takes, but never landed any thing on. 12mm spicy sausage pellet on lead.

Roach galore

First visit since joining, went this morning.
My son loved catching loads of roach.
I bagged a very good mirror, no scales to weigh him.

Lost something big early on, mixed double maggot on six foot depth carp loaded float. Tried feeder method to no avail. Then nothing for the three hours I was there. Loads of movement about. But dead on maggots? Am I doing something wrong?
