There are certainly roach, carp and bream in here. Wood Bevington just around the corner definately has tench along with crucian carp, bigger carp and some nice bream plus the usual roach, rudd and perch. If you want to know more then give John Bennett the bailiff a call. Take a look at the pleasure...

poachers

Thanks Andy,

I will raise this issue at our next meeting on Monday night, as a club there is little we can do to stop this. We will however be informing Ragley estates who we lease the water from.

Thanks

Getting support from our members makes the work we do on committee worth while. :D

It is also nice to see new forum users voicing their opinions.

I have always considered angling as a pastime not a sport and apart from matches catching fish is a bonus to a relaxing day out in the fresh air.

If you feel some of our pools "are a shocking waste of time" and "not worth bothering with" perhaps you should attend one of our committee meetings to explain your views and what and how we can improve. We are all mebers of ABAC, the committee only manage on behalf of the members...

This pool is not "dead" but requires more effort and the conditions need to be in the anglers favour. The reason we stock this pool is that all the fish in here belong to the club, which is not the case on other venues. We are not going to waste club funds stocking a farmers pool for him. ...

Good session

Glad to hear you had a good session and shared your method/catch with us all.
It is a good :D walk but well worth it when you can get such a mixed bag of fish.

Took this on a live bait and is my first ever intentionally caught pike and it weighed 8 drams under 16 pounds. Caught from the old Nene course. :D

Bolies and groundbait are allowed, it was a printing omission. There are carp in there that go over 20 lbs.

Not just an interesting article about river levels, but other interesting articles as well. I picked up on the thread about the name "Angling Trust" and that this body might get better support if it was called "Rivers Trust" or something more widely accepted. Any thoughts form an...

catch reports

I know lots of you have fished our new pool, but where are the reports of your catches? what baits? which method? what pegs are doing well?

Is it because the next club match is here?
