That may have been me, fished that bay a couple of times now on the surface.

What I did the second time was feed the ducks plenty of bread further round the lake and fish untill they started to come my way, then repeat.

Should have tried a bare hook when you ran out of bait, I'm betting the catch rate would have slowed down, but not stopped :P

Yeah I went down for a few hours on Sunday, fished corn/method feeder and I was getting takes before I could put the rod down most of the day, 1-2mins tops before a bite. The water down there is so low at the minute though, hadnt fished there since March I think and the water is so low, could do wit...

Managed a couple of hours down Clifford today, had one take on plug but hook didnt hold, saw it turn was only a jack, but a decent sized one, maybe 6 or 7lb.

Alot of leaves on the top makes things difficult, also loads of weed a foot or two under the water, but I will definately be going back :)

Generaly fish with lures for pike, not sure how easy the Stour would be to lure fish, alot of lilys etc....

Had a Frontera Sport before moving onto the Pajeros. Fell out with it after the brakes failed on the Holloway @ Alvechurch. Pajero build quality is much better. I have a 2.5TD LWB on a 97/P plate. Bought it very nearly 10 years ago with next to no mileage on the clock at a third of the new price. D...

Only fished it a few times, and yet to catch a carp there, but I have also wandered the lake alot, payed really close attention and yet to see a single sign of carp as well. Think all the ducks make things a bit more difficult, often think ooooh a carps topped and its a bleeding duck, so possible ca...

Yeah I did a day on their 1-2 weeks ago and its crazy.

The banks are suffering for it.

Would imagine it will make catching the carp more difficult as well as they are going to be getting a hell of alot of duck food shit into the lake for them to nosh on.
