Gates left open

To all members, specially those who fished on Thursday 4th July, please shut gates after you. We had a call from a very irate farmer whose cattle escaped from the field and into the yard, luckily not reaching the road. This happened on the Thursday mentioned and is not acceptable here or on any of o...

Re: River Avon Agg Match

The latest round of the Saturday aggregate series took place on a very low and clear river Avon at Abbotts Salford, to make matters worse the sun was in full view for most of the match. Of the 15 anglers fishing only 8 weighed in. Top weight of the day went to Bob Evans with 4-6-0 from the first peg...

new gate

Yes we do, the gate will be closed from I think 7pm to 6am the next day. There is a keypad to contact the owner who will open the gate remotely outside of the specified hours. There will be a notice explaining all of this posted at the new gate and it will be included in the rules for this venue in ...

Glad you are enjoying this pool, a good walk but worth it. Fished peg 12 in our recent match there, fed white maggot, pole fished double red a little over depth at about 7 foot. Had 7 carp, some skimmers, roach and perch and weighed in over 31 pounds.

Hi Azz, The club rules do not permit the use of live baits on our lakes/pools as they are not on the approved bait list, deadbaits are allowed at AS pool. There are no bait restrictions in our rules for the two river venues. Details of the incident reported to an executive committee member will be d...

Unfortunately not all our members are active in enforcing club rules and challenging other members. The Angling Trust has a good article on live baiting policy http://anglingtrust.net/page.asp?section=615&sectionTitle=The+Angling+Trust%27s+Live+Baiting+Policy I personally do not object to live b...

Please take this post as a reminder that removing fish from our waters is against club rules and will not be tole...
