Oh two other observations were firstly good news the main track has had its holes filled in . But the bottom swim at the shallow end is now devoid of grass as they have been feeding the ducks near there . Still not long if the weather is kind ? Never done a Feb night though. Went for a walk on Sunday 7th everything seems ok lots of ducks sadly, no rope no blockages.

Well just to further get this point across, I did my usual solstice midweek o/n last night I had a 17lb 2oz mirror at 04.25 hrs yes midsummers day was 21st but the Strawberry moon was great. Well once in my Cradle it went mad even after being rested in the net . Specimens don't like being on the ban...

Just to recap on the main point at the start of this blog a very basic unhooking mat that at least would cover carp, bream and tench can be purchased from Fishing Republic now at Portway outside Redditch the costly price of £4.95

Firstly again in total agreement with the fish care and respect, not sure why that should be called elitist ? . Let's be frank some people deem fishing as cruel and barbaric so in doing our sport are we wrong in at least trying to give our quarry the utmost respect and at least try to maintain there...

Had a walk round last weekend, looks ok the water level is up as expected a few dead ducks lying around they must have hit some ? The rope is still attached to the tree and the island.
But yes looking forward to starting especially as it's been quite mild look forward to seeing a few faces.
