Fishing at Alvechurch

As my ASL budddies will know, my fishing has been curtailed by health issues this year and its not looking like I'll cast a rod out until at least spring next year. I did however take my grandson down to Alvechurch for his first 2 fishing lessons. :fish You cant beat that smile on a little ones face...

disturbance

Thanks for the kind words lads. I now have a new car and will fortunately be able to survive on kit left in my garage.

disturbance

Just wanted to say a big apology to all the lads on ASL on Friday evening when my car decided to blow up. Hope the noise and disturbance didn't spoil the evening too much for you.

a few issues

Just to add fuel to the argument, I was down on ASL on Tuesday evening, just for a couple of hours. I fished the margins under the trees on the far bank and had a common out of 15lb 14oz. Because it was caught in the margin this fish was landed fairly quickly and as a result still had a lot of fight...

a couple of issues

Well I guess being a member of the elitest club means I will have to wear a ferking Kevin Nash tie in future. Have you seen the cost of olive green tie's these days??? £1.95 is only £3 less than I paid for a nice comfy basic mat for my occasional catches which I now use to kneel on when I unhook a g...

a couple of issues

I have to confess that I was the member who spoke to the angler without a mat. He was very blaze about the matter, stating that there was plenty of grass to put his catch on. Regretfully I didn't overly challenge him as I didn't want confrontation. In hind sight I wish I had as I also noticed a net ...

If I were 10 years younger not suffering spinal stenosis I would pop down and pull them out myself. Have Adam and Nick been to help or is that top secret information. Lol, pmsl. I heard a fellow member found one of them with a wet net and was assassinated before he could reach the car park. Lol

Please note that i will be fishing overnight on the 13th. It would be appreciated if the work party went else where on the 14th. We have lost enough time out of the ASL calendar without giving up another weekend. As someone has already said - " why not make it of an evening during the lighter n...
